Consider this: What's one of the first material things people wish
they could get back when their home or office is burned or flooded?
Their photographs. Your family's timeless images deserve to be
protected and, if damaged, repaired.
The Digital Pen is fully equipped to
handle the restoration of old or damaged photographs. We can also scan and
catalog photos to a CD or DVD and create DVD slideshows or special "FlipAlbum CDs" (with animated
flipping pages, background music, hundreds of photos, etc.).
My goal with all of my photo restoration
work is for the final product to appear as if it was completely
original.
There are three categories of
restoration: minor, moderate, major.
Minor - $40.
Pictures that fall into the Minor category include ones that have
the following problems or needs:
-
scratches or
creases that do not seriously affect an important subject in the
photo
-
small, rather
insignificant "artifacts" on the print that need to be removed
-
enlargements
-
slight color
adjustments
Moderate
- $40-$60. Pictures that
fall into the Moderate category include ones that have the following
problems or needs:
-
scratches or
creases that affect a subject's body or face, but not an
important facial feature (especially the nose or mouth)
-
missing pieces
that can be cloned from other parts of the image
-
relatively minor
objects that need to be removed/enhanced
Major - $60+.
Pictures that fall into the Major category include ones that have
the following problems or needs:
-
severe fading
-
scratches across
important features, especially facial, that may require another
picture to fix the original
-
major features
that need to be removed/enhanced
Most jobs can be
done for $40-60. The best way to know is for me to look at the
image. If you have access to a scanner, feel free to send me
an email with the image attached. I'll be happy to give you an
estimate.
All restorations also include one of the following packages:
Additional prints are also available:
I offer free estimates and you're
welcome to
email me a copy of the photo in question. I'll respond
quickly with a fair and competitive quote!
I treat each image as if they were
pictures of my own family. I invite you to look at some of these
examples below to see how the photos come back to life. So if you are
interested in having some pictures re-imaged, cleaned up,
etc., please
let me know!
