GolfRomeGa.com
My son's golf instructor, Joedy McGraw, found out I
designed websites. For some time, he wanted to
create a website about Rome, Georgia golf courses, the
people who play them, and the tournaments that are
hosted. So in the summer of 2011, that's just what
we created—GolfRomeGa.com.
If you're a golfer in the NW Georgia, NE Alabama, or
Southern Tennessee area, check it out!
Sharkey's Seafood &
Wings
Seeing as I work full time at
Learning Labs in Calhoun, Georgia, I need a good
place to eat lunch. While fast food is OK every
now and then, it's better to find a local place that has
great food and great prices. And that's what
Sharkey's Seafood & Wings is. Derrick Williams
has created a place that not only has fantastic food,
but is fun to go to. His wings are incredible, his
salads overflowing, and his meat and vegetable plates
taste like they're fresh from the farm. His staff
is friendly and his prices are very reasonable. If
you're in the area and looking for a great place to eat,
look no further than Sharkey's!
Inground Pool
Design, Inc.
In 2003, when my wife and I asked around town about
pool construction companies, one name kept coming back
to us--Ben Brown and
Inground Pool Design. As soon as we met Ben,
we were impressed with his professionalism and the
quality of his work. By the time he left our house
after a free consultation, he had a new customer and we
were on our way to getting a new pool. In late
2007, Ben approached me about overhauling his web site.
That initial work was completed in April 2008. Ben
and his team are incredible to work with and will have
that dream pool in your backyard before you know it.
Highlights Photography
I have been friends with
Steve St.Clair since 1995 and
when I was offered the opportunity to help his photography
business get online, I jumped at the chance. Steve has an
excellent eye for beautiful portraits and amazing "candid"
photos as you will see on his
Highlights Photography web site. His prices are
reasonable, but his work is exceptional. So if you're planning
a wedding, family reunion, or portrait session, don't let some
run-of-the-mill cookie-cutter hack do the job, visit Steve's
site and "let them capture the highlights of your life."
The
George Faile Foundation, Inc.
The web site for
The George Faile Foundation, Inc.
was first developed back in June of 2000 and was overhauled in
October 2001.
People are wary about where, and
for what reason, they donate their money, as well they should
be. The site was designed to help potential donors feel secure
about their giving by using an earth-tone color scheme
(nothing flashy), plenty of opportunities to contact Board
Members, and plenty of information about the Foundation's
Mission.
In the fall of 2003, I created
the
Foundation's newsletter
Operating for Christ. The
first issue brought in approximately $2,000 in donations!
I
invite you to look at the site not only to see an example of
my work, but to encourage you to consider helping their cause
as well.
Applied
Technologies
Applied
Technologies makes
educational technology curriculum and materials for the K12
market. While Applied Technologies is not a Digital Pen
customer (conflict of interest--my "real job" is at Applied
Technologies), it's a
great example of my design and marketing skills.
Of all the sites I've done, this
is the one that contains the most frequent content changes.
Learning
Labs, Inc.
As with Applied
Technologies,
Learning
Labs, Inc. is not a Digital Pen customer per
se, but the site is simply another example of my work.
Learning Labs is an exclusive
academic reseller for many products, so many of the pages link
to manufacturers' sites for specific information.
